Those inventive ladies at 3 Little Figs are at it again! We just received their new Citrus & Smoked Salt Marmalade, an intriguing blend of sweet, bitter, smoky goodness — wonderful for spreading on a triple cream cheese or mascarpone. We have the Balsamic Fresh Fig, Peach Prosecco Beillini and Tomato Tapas Jam on the shelf now too!

Friday Tasting: Wines from Green Spain

The cool and wet climate of Green Spain stretches from Galicia on Spain’s northwest coast to that portion of northern Spain that includes Basque Country. Here the cool Atlantic-influenced climate supports crisp white and bright young red wines — very different from the wines from hotter, browner southern Spain. We invite you to come by the shop Friday, July 20th from 4:30 to 6:30, when Bonnie Crocker from PDX Wines will be here to share tastes of several of these lovey wines. She’ll be pouring the Ameztoi Getariako Txakolina 2011 from the Basque Country, Benito Santos Rias Baixas Saiar Albarino 2011 and Luis Rodriguez Os Pasa Ribeira Blanco Joven 2010 from Galicia, and Monesterio de Corias Asturias Seis Octavos Joven 2010 from Asturias. We hope you’ll wrap up the work week by enjoying a taste of these terrific wines with a nosh of cheese and meat on our patio. Could there be a nicer way to spend a warm summer evening?
