The Heathman Restaurant & Bar Hosts Annual English Tea This Holiday Season

Chef Michael Stanton Offers Modern Day Twist on Traditional Tea and Crumpets                                   

PORTLAND, Ore. (Nov. 20, 2012) – The Heathman Restaurant and Bar will kick off its annual Holiday Tea on Friday, Nov. 23. Chef Michael Stanton and Pastry Chef John Gayer present a Northwest twist on the English tradition, emphasizing local ingredients while drawing inspiration from all over the world. Afternoon Tea at The Heathman Restaurant & Bar is a long-standing and cherished Portland tradition, especially during the holiday season when the tea court is decorated in yuletide splendor.

At the Heathman, tea-goers can partake by choosing from a wide selection of teas provided by Fonte Coffee & Tea Co., and delight in complementary snacks, including:

·         Smoked Salmon Profiteroles

·         Chicken Salad Panini

·         Goat Cheese Crostini

·         Classic Cucumber Sandwich

·         Deviled Egg

·         Heathman Scone

·         John’s Famous Lanai Banana Bread

Younger guests are welcome to explore the children’s menu, which features Hot Cocoa, Cheddar & Swiss Blocks, Fresh Fruit, Ants on a Log, Snickerdoodle and Banana Bread.

Afternoon tea is available every day from Friday, Nov. 23 through Sunday, Jan. 6 at 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Tea is served in the Heathman Restaurant and Bar Tea Court and Mezzanine. Adults are $32 per person, and children are $14. Reservations are highly recommended.
