Ricky Gomez, well-known Portland mixologist, beat out 20 U.S. finalists last night in New York City to win the Diageo World Class U.S. Finale, becoming the first-ever World Class U.S. Ambassador. On July 8-12, he will take his cutting-edge mixology techniques to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to compete against 47 of his peers from around the world for the chance to be named the Diageo World Class Global Ambassador.
Ricky was one of 600 bartenders from across the country who entered into the U.S. program, which started in April.
