Laughing Planet Cafe receives BEST Award from City of Portland

Portland, OR. - May 7, 2008 - Laughing Planet Café was one of eight companies from the Portland metropolitan region recently recognized with a BEST Award (Businesses for an Environmentally Sustainable Tomorrow) from the City of Portland Office of Sustainable Development. The city’s elected officials present the BEST Awards annually to businesses demonstrating an extraordinary commitment to sustainability.
Laughing Planet Café received the award in the category of Sustainable Food Systems in recognition of its commitment to sustainable practices in sourcing, preparing and serving food; and expanding availability of nutritious, affordable, culturally appropriate food.
