| Meet the (cheese and lamb) Producers! | |||
| Pastaworks is pleased to offer you a sample of Oregon Spring lamb from Cattail Creek Farm and to host a trio of some of our favorite Oregon cheese producers for a Saturday tasting.
Cattail Creek lamb is produced by two family farms in the southern Willamette Valley. The secret of the superior flavor of their lamb is the year round availability of lush grass pastures, made possible by Oregon’s mild climate and abundant rainfall. Their guiding principles are to be ecologically sound and socially responsible. Their lambs graze exclusively on pesticide free pastures. They never use hormones, sub-therapeutic antibiotics, or GMO feed. The lambs are treated with the utmost care and are never confined to a feedlot. Ancient Heritage Dairy- Located in Scio, Oregon River’s Edge Chevre- Located in Logsden, Oregon Willamette Valley Cheese Company - Located in Salem Oregon We’ll accompany the cheeses and lamb with a trio of J. Christopher wines—Cristo Misto 2007, Cristo Irresisto 2007 and Willamette Valley Pinot Noir 2006— and appropriate breads from Pearl Bakery and Ken’s Artisan Bakery. Saturday, March 22, 2008 |
