Meet the (cheese and lamb) Producers!
Pastaworks is pleased to offer you a sample of Oregon Spring lamb from Cattail Creek Farm and to host a trio of some of our favorite Oregon cheese producers for a Saturday tasting.

Cattail Creek lamb is produced by two family farms in the southern Willamette Valley. The secret of the superior flavor of their lamb is the year round availability of lush grass pastures, made possible by Oregon’s mild climate and abundant rainfall. Their guiding principles are to be ecologically sound and socially responsible. Their lambs graze exclusively on pesticide free pastures. They never use hormones, sub-therapeutic antibiotics, or GMO feed. The lambs are treated with the utmost care and are never confined to a feedlot.

Ancient Heritage Dairy- Located in Scio, Oregon
“Our goal is to make clean, wholesome cheese using the best of old techniques and modern methods. Creating farmstead, artisan products means we raise and produce the milk for our cheese from our place, so our pastures, barns, parlor and cheese making room are all designed and maintained with the sole purpose of creating a nourishing and enjoyable product, our cheeses.”

River’s Edge Chevre- Located in Logsden, Oregon
“Fresh and aged artisanal farmstead goat cheese hand-crafted in Oregon’s Central Coast Range.”

Willamette Valley Cheese Company - Located in Salem Oregon
“Rich western soil and verdant fields provide pasture for the happiest cows in the valley. Willamette Valley Cheese Company guarantees you’ll find their products distinctively fresh, smooth and uniquely flavorful.”

We’ll accompany the cheeses and lamb with a trio of J. Christopher wines—Cristo Misto 2007, Cristo Irresisto 2007 and Willamette Valley Pinot Noir 2006— and appropriate breads from Pearl Bakery and Ken’s Artisan Bakery.
