Portland, OR – Bazi Bierbrasserie will be hosting a Lambic Blending Seminar on Thursday, November 15 starting at 6 PM. The seminar will last approximately one hour.
Legendary brewer, Alan Sprints of Hair of the Dog joined Dirk Naudts at De Proef in Belgium to create what is today known as Flanders Fred. The sixth edition of the De Proef Brewmaster’s Collaboration Series is Hair of the Dog’s first blended beer. Flanders Fred is a blend of Flanders-sourced lambic with a collaboratively-brewed version of the famous Hair of the Dog Fred.
Attendees will have the opportunity to taste both beers used in the blending – Fred and Cuvee Lambic, the final blended Flanders Fred, plus take a taste tester at blending their own mix. Seminar consists of 3 – 8 oz pours plus light snacks of cheeses, roasted vegetables and charcuterie.
