Downtown Portland restaurant introduces new dishes on all menus
PORTLAND, Ore. (Aug. 29, 2012) – Home comforts and fall flavors meet fine dining and urban cuisine with the release of H5O bistro & bar Executive Chef Ron Baker’s newest seasonal menu. Guests at the award-winning downtown Portland restaurant can experience new flavor combinations prepared with fresh, local and organic ingredients for breakfast, lunch, dinner, happy hour and dessert.
Situated across the Willamette River, H5O bistro & bar is an urban contemporary fine dining restaurant featuring scenic river views, approachable prices and innovative twists on classic dishes.
“As the weather begins to cool down, we’ve created new flavors by not only introducing new menu items, but also switching up guest favorites and local comfort dishes,” said Baker. “One of the restaurant favorites is the H5O Candy Bar, which we’ve kept on the menu but have reinvented with new flavors, textures and presentation.”
Some new highlights on H5O bistro’s menu include the Wedge Salad made with butter lettuce, pickled beets, fried capers, celery and blue cheese dressing; Fried Chicken Benedict made with country fried chicken, poached egg, Hollandaise and buttermilk biscuit; Cioppino made with shrimp, scallop, sea bass, clam, roasted peppers, saffron and wine-tomato broth; and Molten Chocolate Fudge Cake with chocolate-lemon frozen yogurt and dark cherry sauce.
In addition to the new dishes, H5O bistro will continue to offer long-standing menu favorites including the H5O Burger made with Russian dressing, shredded lettuce, tomato and onion; and Roasted Mushroom Omelette made with white cheddar, chives, crème friache and crispy potatoes.
H5O bistro & bar is located inside Hotel Fifty in downtown Portland, directly across from Tom McCall Waterfront Park. The restaurant opened in 2008 and has been recognized as one of Portland’s “Best Scenic View” restaurants on the OpenTable.com® Diners’ Choice list.
