Welcome in 2012 with a chocolate smorgasbord free for first 100 guests at each Pix location

PORTLAND, Oregon (November 29, 2011) – Chocolate mousse, chocolate ice cream, chocolate ganache, chocolate meringue, and chocolate beer…and more! The Chocolate Buffet opens at midnight and is free to the first 100 guests at EACH Pix location who purchase a beverage after 11 p.m. on New Year’s Eve.

There is even a special champagne tea service, perfect for getting together with friends in the middle of the busy holiday season. And of course, bubbly! Chocolate Ornaments

Les Bûches de Noël ($36 for 9” cake):

· Bûches Traditional – The classic cake resembling the Yule log – chocolate flourless sponge cake rolled up with your choice of hazelnut, coffee or vanilla bean cream, complete with festive holiday Pixies! Add a quart of Pix ice cream for a real treat

· Sicilian – Canoli filling, kirsch cherries, chocolate mousse and chocolate flourless sponge cake

· Chocolate Port Fig – Shiny glazed chocolate mousse, port-soaked figs, salted Marcona almonds, chocolate ganache and chocolate cake

· Candy Cane Ice Cream Bûche – Peppermint chocolate chip ice cream with candy cane striped almond cake and chocolate flourless sponge cake.

Winter Chardons
These chardons are fabricated in the ancient method in which liqueur fills impressions made in a box of starch and left to crystallize for 36 hours, creating a fragile sugar shell with a liquid center that is then dipped in chocolate. It’s like a shot with a chocolate chaser! For the holidays Pix is making festive flavors such as Portland’s Clear Creak Douglas Fir, Black Maple Hill Premium Small Batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon and Austrian Nux Alpina Walnut Liqueur. $4 each

Holiday Macarons

A special Sunday tea service to celebrate the New Year! The regular tea menu is available, as well as a special menu of 10 sparkling wines by the glass ranging in price from $5-$20 a glass just in case you are still celebrating! Reservations are required and must be made by December 30th.
