Ring in “Lucky 2013″ at Acadia Bistro!

Acadia Bistro invites you to join us for our annual New Year’s Eve Dinner.  Chef Adam Higgs is preparing a wonderful 5-course spread to welcome the New Year.  Stick around until midnight for a complimentary champagne toast, complete with balloons, confetti and noise makers!

Amuse:
Creamy Yam Soup
First Course (Choose One):

Louisiana BBQ Shrimp
lemon, butter, black pepper
Chanterelle Mushrooms
truffled Madeira cream, our andouille and caramelized pearl onions
Pumpkin Hushpuppies
horseradish and orange marmalade
Foie Gras au Tourchon
house “put up” cherry mostarda, pecan waffle and pecan brittle

Second Course (Choose One):

Blue Crab Gumbo
gulf shrimp, our andouille crawfish and white rice
Salad of Red Pear and Delicata Squash
feuilletine, Portland Creamery chèvre and butter lettuce
Creamed Rabbit Soup
roasted root vegetables and black Oregon truffle
House-Smoked Duck Bacon Salad
endives, mandarins, roasted beets and drunken poppy seed dressing

Entrée Course (Choose One):

Lobster, Blue Crab and Crawfish “Pot Pie”
roasted root vegetables, and puff pastry
Skillet-Bronzed Louisiana Speckled Trout
spaghetti squash-goat cheese tartlet and clementine meunière sauce
House-Cured Carlton Farms “Ham Hock”
braised heirloom beans and rosemary gremolata
Grilled 35-Day Dry-aged Filet of New York Striploin
Oregon black truffle butter tasso bordelaise and house cured bacon potato purée
Shrimp Rockefeller
garlic-crusted gulf shrimp with a creamy Herbsaint Spinach Madeleine, french fried onions and fresh watercress
Goat Cheese Gnocchi
brown butter, fried sage, local Chanterelles, apples and pecans

Dessert Course:

Egg Nog Bread Pudding
white chocolate – Grand Marnier sauce and pecans
Chocolate Trifle
chocolate cake, chocolate and malted- vanilla pastry creams,
salted caramel crème fraîche and Nutella chocolate sauce,

Rustic Pecan Pie
Steens cane syrup and candied bacon ice cream

Dinner service commences at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, December 31st.  The cost is $65 per guest, and reservations are recommended.  An 18% gratuity will be added to parties of six or more.  Call (503) 249-5001 to reserve seats.
