A Northwest Collaborative Chef Dinner
The Old Chaser Farm
Friday Noveber 4th 2011
Vashon Island, Washington
$125 per person, inclusive
Join celebrated Northwest Chefs Matthew Dillon of Seattle’s Sitka & Spruce and The Corson Building and Jason French of Portland’s Ned Ludd for a special Autumnal Feast in a very special setting. The chefs have forged a friendship over several years and share mutual interests, values and inspriations.
Matthew has graciously offered The Old Chaser Farm as the setting for their first dinner. This initial collaboration will evolve into a series of semi-annual dining adventures with a revolving cast of venues, producers and seasonal inspirations that celebrate the Northwest and all its bounty. Each course will offer the abundance of the season and reflect the creative collaboration between two chefs.
A lamb raised on the farm will be slaughtered and become the focus for the dinner. Pheasant will be hunted, wild foods foraged. In an effort to bring the vital food communities of Seattle and Portland closer together, the dinner will be capped at 18 guests from Seattle and 18 from Portland. Diners will also enjoy the idyllic setting and tour the farm to learn firsthand how Sitka & Spruce and The Corson Building benefit from Matthew’s commitment and dedication to sustainable farm driven food.
