Please join us for a lively discussion of the book The School of Essential Ingredients by Erica Bauermeister. Erica’s sensual novel is about eight cooking students and their teacher, set in the kitchen of chef/teacher Lillian’s restaurant. Sip wine and sample foods inspired by the book while chatting with Erica, who is a passionate cook herself. Erica says: “In the end, what I hope people take away from The School of Essential Ingredients is that cooking can be a sensual experience that slows down time, but that cooking is also about thinking about other people”.
Erica will be on hand to spur on the conversation as she reads from the book and answers your questions about her inspiration for the book. The cost of the evening includes appetizers and wine, as well as a signed paperback copy of the book. The event is ideal for book clubs with a passion for good food.
