“Trails and Tables of Tuscany”

July 27, 2010

Greetings!

In April and May, 2011, I will be leading a hiking and cultural tour of Tuscany. The trip is offered through the Mazamas, a Portland-based hiking club — but it’s not an intensive hiking trip. It’s all about the “real” Tuscany: the food, wine, history, culture, and a few hiking trails. Our guide is a lifelong Tuscan, and we will mostly stay in agriturismo sites on local farms, and spend our days visiting off-the-track sites like local wineries, olive groves, medieval villages, and Italian families. We’ll also get to see the famous cities Florence, Siena, and San Gimignano.

For more information on the trip, see http://www.paulgerald.com/2010/07/trails-and-tables-of-tuscany.html.

For you Portland folks: Please come join me and my assistant leader, Debi Danielson, for an informational meeting about the trip on Wednesday, July 28, 7 p.m., at Mazamas Mountaineering Center, 527 SE 43rd. You do not have to attend this event to go on the trip; I’m just going to show pictures, tell stories and answer questions.

Please get in touch with any questions you may have, and I hope to see some of you Wednesday!

Ciao!

Paulo Geraldo
