Pastaworks salutes Bikes, and “Dear Olde Dad”

Wheel yourselves over to Mississippi Ave and partake of the Cirque de Cycling, sponsored by Laughing Planet Cafe.
Cirque du Cycling is a celebration along Mississippi Avenue every June. The event features an Art Bike Parade, a Family Ride, a high-speed bike race, two beer gardens, an art installation, free bike parking and much more. Cirque du Cycling is a benefit for Albina Youth Opportunity School.

To encourage you to resort to two wheels (ok, trikes qualify, too), show up at Pastaworks on Mississippi with your bike on Saturday, June 12, and receive a 10 per cent discount off the purchase of any Pastaworks pasta and/or sauce! Yes, you must have your bike with you (no photos, models, etc) to receive the discount.

Sample something white, pink and red in anticipation of Dear Olde Dad’s Day.
Each store will offer tastes of recent vinous arrivals from Spain. We’ll also introduce you to Oregon olive oil (yes, Oregon Olive oil) from Red Ridge Farms and sample some of our favorite new Northwest cheeses.

Eating Local (Andrews McMeel) is a stunning cookbook with 150 recipes focused on incorporating more local, fresh ingredients in your kitchen, along with the inspirational stories of 10 CSA farms around the country. Author Janet Fletcher will be joined by one of the farmers featured in her book. Cosponsored by Edible Portland.
