2 events at Kenny and Zuke’s

As you may have heard, Kenny and Zukes has partnered with Cool Moon Ice Cream in the Pearl.  Kenny and Zuke’s Sandwichworks will begin serving 12 flavors of Cool Moon – along with floats, hand-packed pints, and our own Chocolate Chip Cookie Ice Cream Sandwiches – tomorrow.  And to kick off this tastiness, we will be hosting a Neighborhood Ice Cream Social all day this Friday and into the evening.  20% of all our sales that day will go to our neigborhood’s Chapman School.  Hope to see you there.

And to kick off the publication of the latest edition of Portland’s Best Places – y’know, the one with Kenny and Zuke’s on the cover? – we will be holding a book party, and we’d love you all to come.

Join author and Portland resident Elizabeth Lopeman at a booksigning/happy hour party for her new guide, Best Places Portland (2010, Sasquatch Books) on Tuesday, May 18^th from 5-6 p.m. at Kenny & Zuke’s Delicatessen at 1038 SW Stark. Copies of Best Places Portland will be available for purchase for $19.95 and Elizabeth Lopeman will be personalizing copies. Elizabeth also worked with local contributors including Mike Thelin, Lizzy Caston, Dana Cuellar, Joan Cirillo and Terry Richard. Kenny & Zuke’s will host small tastes of their house-smoked pastrami sandwiches, miniature knishes, and a “make your own hot dog” stand. Draft beer and wine will be available for $2.50 per glass.
