Dark Beers this Friday!
Dark Beer Tasting and new chocolates!
Greetings!
Spring is in full gear, what with this rain then sun then rain routine. No better time to drink up some dark beers. This Friday we’ll taste a bit of the dark side of beer from 5-8pm. Also, the sweet tooth in us has acted up again and we’ve got a lot of new chocolates. Read on for more info!
Sincerely,
Morgan, Andy and Aimee
Dark Beer Tasting Friday!
It was almost raining too hard to walk my daughter to school this morning. Right before leaving, however, the rain stopped, the clouds parted and out came the sun. Yes, it’s Springtime in Portland. Spring may be my favorite time of year to drink dark beers. I can’t say if it’s because I’m still too cold for Lagers or if it’s my way of saying a final goodbye to Winter. Something about them just tastes right right about now. Come bid farewell to the cold and sip your way through a couple of Porters, Stouts and maybe a coffee infused brew to top it off.
Friday Night Tasting
5pm-8pm
5 beers, $8.00
New Northwest Chocolates!
If there is one thing I never get tired of, it’s chocolate. Lucky for me I have a store that sells chocolate! New in this week are some delicious hazelnut toffees and Chocolate hazelnut caramel corn from Willamette Valley Confectionery. Also, thanks to a customer tip, we’ve discovered the delicious Hagensborg Chocolate Truffle Pigs from Vancouver, BC. Beyond cute and filled with various truffle flavors like Raspberry, Peanut Butter, Mint and Orange these are already flying out the door. Besides, what dessert goes better with the dark beers we’re tasting Friday?
