Bols Genever – Holland, 84 proof

The grandfather of all Gin can trace its roots back from Lucas Bols’ original 1820 recipe. Lucas Bols, the world’s oldest distilled spirits brand originally established in 1575 in Amsterdam, has relaunched its Dutch Genever gin. The old world style Genever bears little resemblance to the dry London gins we’re familiar with these days. Bols Genever is made by blending a unique distillate called maltwine with a carefully selected secret blend of botanicals; the result is a superior quality spirit with a unique smooth character that can be made into a variety of delicious cocktails. Genever has in fact been an essential cocktail ingredient for nearly two centuries; Jerry Thomas, author of the world’s first cocktail book “The Bartender’s Guide” cited it as one of only four essential cocktail spirits back in 1862.

12 Bridges – Portland, 90 proof

A unique Oregon product in that they infuse cucumber into the vapor stream during distillation (not unlike Hendricks gin out of Scotland). Handcrafted in Portland, Oregon, 12 Bridges marries two favorite styles of gin. The smart, sophistication of London dry, and the bold flavor of Dutch genever team up to make 12 Bridges a gin unlike any other.

Magellans – France, 88 proof

From the creator of Bombay Sapphire and named for the explorer who introduced Old Europe to so many priceless spices, Magellan gin has become a favorite worldwide. Distilled from wheat, and with a natural soft blue hue coming from the use of iris roots and petals, Magellans is produced at the oldest Gin distillery in the world. A mixture of floral and spice, this “Best Of” has a soft entry and a crisp, clean finish.

Tanqueray 10 – England, 94.6 proof

A superpremium smallbatch Tanqueray named after the number of the still in which it is made. A superb controlled explosion of botanical flavours. Distilled in England as opposed to Scotland where most Tanqueray is made.

Ransom Old Tom – Oregon, 88 proof

Old Tom is the Gin for mixing classic cocktails dating from the days before prohibition. Its subtle maltiness is the result of using a base wort of malted barley, combined with an infusion of botanicals in high proof corn spirits. The final distillation is run through an alembic pot still in order to preserve the maximum amount of aromatics, flavor and body. Only the “heart of the hearts” is retained for this special bottling. This Old Tom Gin is a historically accurate revival of the predominant Gin in fashion during the mid 1800’s.

Aviation – Portland, 84 proof

Aviation New Western Dry Gin represents a true departure from traditional gin making ethos, setting a new standard in quality, creativity, passion, and flavor. With its full and weighty mouth feel, regionally inspired flavors of earth and spice, and a uniquely cool finish, Aviation is a rare expression of gin that shines both on its own and in one of a large number of resurrected and modern culinary cocktails.
