WHAT: This special dining experience features the cuisines of many cultures around the world, donated by some of Portland’s most exciting international restaurants including: Seres, Silk, Vindahlo, Red Onion, Autentica, East India Company, Queen of Sheba, and Barbur World Foods. Plus, a rare chance to taste the delicious cooking of Caprial and John Pence, former owners of the fabulous Caprial’s in Sellwood.
Menu items include Chicken Mole, Green Papaya Salad with Roasted Duck, Creamed Spinach and Corn with Basmati Rice, Chicken Pahkoras with mint sauce or chutney
WHO: SPOON Foundation works to improve the health of international orphans and adoptees by providing them with the nutrients they need to grow and thrive. SPOON has organized the world’s first effort to identify the micronutrients that orphans lack most and to fill that critical gap. The organization’s focus also includes educating adoptive parents and professionals on the unique nutritional needs of internationally adopted children.
