Cecilia Bottai from Tenuta Le Velette. Over the years we have met many amazing people in the food and wine business. Cecilia Bottai is part of the sister-brother team that own Pastaworks favorite Umbrian wine estate, Tenuta Le Velette. When not promoting her estate’s wonderful wines, Cecilia often acts as a tour guide for Rick Steve’s tours of Umbria’s fabled city, Orvieto. It has been a while since Cecilia visited Portland so please take advantage of this opportunity to chat with her and sample Le Velette’s wines.

The last time Giuseppe Vajra from Piedmont’s G. D. Vajra winery visited us he was encased in a leg cast, awaiting surgery, from a skiing accident. We have been promised that he will be kept off the slopes until after his dinner with you @ Evoe (located inside the Hawthorne store). Evoe’s Kevin Gibson will prepare a “typical” family style Piedmontese meal accompanied by Vajra wines.

Tuesday, January 26, 6:30-9PM @ Evoe. Piedmontese dinner with Giuseppe Vajra from Piedmont’s G.D. Vajra winery.
