Cycle Thru Burgerville on September 17

September 15, 2009

Burgerville is opening its arms and welcoming bicyclists to cycle-thru each of its 37 drive-thrus. To make all of their drive-thru lanes bike friendly, the Vancouver-based chain is adding signs to alert drivers and bicyclists to safety precautions for bicycle access.  Signs are already in place at their most frequented restaurants by bicyclists and all restaurants expect to have signs in place by this Friday, September 18.

In celebration of Burgerville’s latest sustainable initiative, Burgerville will be offering guests who cycle-thru at their Hawthorne restaurant, between the hours of 2 and 4 p.m. on Thursday, September 17, free, small Blackberry Smoothies with the purchase of a menu item of equal or greater value.

Burgerville is a quick service restaurant company with 39 locations throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington, serving guests fresh, great tasting food from a mission to “serve with love.” Burgerville’s values extend beyond locally grown berries, all-natural beef, Walla Walla onions and cage-free eggs. The innovative company, established in 1961, is redefining industry norms by providing affordable health care for hourly employees and their dependents, purchasing wind power equal to their total energy use, converting used trans-fat free cooking oil to biodiesel and implementing comprehensive resource stewardship and recycling.
