Restaurant and Food Related Press Releases For Portland Oregon

News for 09 09 09 – Tastings, Dinner and School of Cork

September 9, 2009

Thanks to everyone who visited us over the weekend for our big sale – it was a huge success and we’ve made a lot of room for new arrivals that started rolling in yesterday.  Expect a big changeover at both locations as we reset for Fall and increase our assortment of chocolates and ingredients for the home chef.

For those who missed out on the sale, starting today on 09.09.09, we have 09 different bottlings of wine, 09 assorted beers and 09 random chocolate bars that are all still 20% or more off through Sunday.  Stop in to your nearest cork location and peruse the clearance bins.

This week, our LOVEJOY shop hosts two tastings:  Friday Night Flight is all about new releases and we’ll pull the corks on 5 new reds that have just rolled in from Spain, France, Italy, Chile and Washington.  Saturday afternoon, Sarah Ann has a special visitor from Victory Brewing who will be pouring their beers from 2pm-4pm in the afternoon.  These are both great opportunities to see how we have rearranged the Northwest shop to better serve you throughout the holiday season ahead.

Saturday night at the NE Alberta shop we are hosting Tablas Creek Vineyards for a Winemaker’s Dinner.  We had a cancellation yesterday so there are 2 seats left.  Anyone interested, read more about the dinner and menu here, then call us at 503.281.2675 if you want a reservation.

We also have one of our introductory wine classes, Wine 101, scheduled for Wednesday, September 23rd at the NW Lovejoy shop.  Details follow.

I hope you all adjust well to Back to School schedules this week and can stop in and visit when time allows.

Cheers,

Darryl and the Cork Crew
