New Happy Hour at the Fish Grotto Will Feature Executive Chef’s Original Creations

Portland, OR – July 15, 2009 – Fish Grotto Seafood Restaurant & Wine Bar, located in Portland’s hip and upcoming Stark Street Bistro District, is launching a new happy hour, beginning Monday, July 20th. New executive chef, Paul MacKenzie, will be offering four different small plate selections, letting diners piece together a meal or share some plates before dinner. It’s an affordable, fun way to sample new dishes and drinks created by MacKenzie and his crew.
The Fish Grotto is offering $4 select wines by the glass and $4 specialty cocktails. The wine, cocktails and food on the new happy hour menu will change weekly depending on the season and market availability. Some examples from the current small plates menu include Oregon Bay Shrimp Cakes with Lemon Vinaigrette, Canby Spinach Salad with Roasted Beets and Rogue Creamery Blue Cheese, house-made Chorizo with Iberico Cheese and Quince Jam, plus Linguini with Fresh Peas and Prosciutto. The Fish Grotto’s happy hour runs 4-6 pm, Monday-Friday, starting July 20th.
